The Flip-Kat® came about from a personal experience of living in a coastal waterside marina/condo complex that didn’t have onsite storage and the HOA (Home Owners Association) rules didn’t allow for kayaks to be left on the premises. To enjoy inshore fishing just minutes away from the marina meant transporting the kayak back and forth from an expensive storage facility that could take an hour depending on seasonal traffic. That inconvenience also meant missing out on some cool, calm, serene waterway adventures that would show up after the unexpected clearing of an afternoon storm.
